Unlike coconut blocks, this medium is guaranteed to have zero salt levels, because it is washed three times with fresh water during production. This is a great advantage over regular coconut blocks that are washed with saltwater and contain excessive salt (sodium chloride).
Coconut substrate is also filled with calcium and magnesium so that the coconut peat substrate does not absorb these minerals and slows down the growth of your plants.
